Living close to the Ocean in Carmel, while having an art studio in Carmel Valley, offers me daily inspiration.  The beautiful views of the Big Sur coast, to the rolling hills and majestic oaks of the valley, provides stunning subject matter for my art.

Permanent sculptures in steel, clay, wood, and paint, are created in my Carmel Valley studio.

Ephemeral mediums, such as sand, snow and are created all over the globe and are site specific.  I have traveled the world for the last 21 years, creating sand, snow and ice sculptures for several events, exhibitions, groups and private clientle.  Working in ephemeral materials gives me the opportunity to create sculptures anywhere, in front of live audiences and on a scale most have never imagined or experienced.

Juxtaposed to sand, snow and ice, working with perminent media
gives me the chance to create sculptures that will out last us all!

In 2011 I was offered a T.V. show on the Travel Channel with my business partner Kirk Rademaker.  Soon after "Sand Masters" was born.  The show ran for a total of 29 episodes and has been translated into 3 languages while airing throughout the Asian-Pacific, Europe and South America, making Sand Guys the most recognizable sand sculptors in the world.
Working in locations as varied as New York, New Zealand, Palau and Thailand, has enabled us to showcase our sculptures in over 30 different countries.  Our clientele includes Apple, Disney, Google, Facebook, Pixar and Lucas Film to name a few.  We've even created a Guinness World record in Brazil for the tallest sand sculpture in 2014.

The Sand Guys have been featured on talk shows and several national publications including:

* The Today Show, Good Morning America, The Rachel Ray Show, Hells Kitchen and Home & Family, Sand Blasters & Sand Wars.
* The Wall Street Journal, SunSet Magazine, American Lifestyles, Kinfolk and AARP Magazine.
